I was fortunate to be able to play a game I love in five decades, beginning on ponds, frozen front yards, and even driveways and streets. My first real game occurred during the Carter administration. President Obama sat in the White House when I took may last face-off. I’ve skated with players who would become famous, players who were famous before I met them, and hundreds of men and women who all share the same love of the game.
